Arab American author’s book receives positive response from its readers

Zainab: Voice of Truth is the story of a young woman's journey to a land in which the holy ways of the Sinless Ones, Ahlu Bayt, can be followed without fear of persecution.

Its author, Wadad Chami-Jomaa, first introduces the readers to Zainab as a young girl having a conversation with her father which doesn’t make much sense to her at the time, but his words will resonate later. "She will go with strength and courage…led by the hand of Allah…she will go where her voice can be heard and her actions mimic the actions of the Sinless Ones."

It is after her parents are tragically executed by the rulers of the land, for practicing the ways of the Sinless Ones, that Zainab must flee her homeland and find her way to the land her father spoke of.

And while we follow the story of Zainab there is another story playing out in the recurring haunting dream she's having of a shadowy figured woman.

The reader finds oneself asking:  Who is this woman and what do these dreams mean? The woman is Lady Zainab, the sister of Imam Al-Husayn and daughter of Lady Fatima and Imam Ali, and when the two women finally meet in a dream Zainab finds her true purpose.

She is to be the voice of truth and not only commemorate Ashoura on an annual basis, but to live her daily life as the Sinless Ones have before her. The book can be purchased on Amazon or by visiting www.createspace.com/3784867. g

Reviews from readers of Zainab: Voice of Truth

“I recently finished the book, Zainab: Voice of Truth by author Wadad Chami-Jomaa.  I recommended it as a must read to my Muslim friends and anyone in general. It's a story that celebrates, life, truth, and all principles of the "golden rule.” This book pays recognition to the beauty of growth, nature, and the circle of life. Additionally, it’s a story of humble strength and decency; includes a love story where women expect respect and men give it…It’s written with care and thoughtfulness…I truly enjoyed it and will pass it on."     — Corriane Hadous

“First time published author Chami-Jomaa's combined use of fictional characters and historical events has resulted in a spiritually moving book that will reverberate with young adults and adults alike. Her descriptive passages of the land, people and events engulf the reader and keeps them wondering about the rest of Zainab’s journey well after the book has been completed."    — Sakne Srour
