NEW YORK — A prominent national Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization has renewed its call for a strong response by public officials to growing anti-Muslim bigotry nationwide following another hate incident targeting an American mosque.
Of all the places in the world United States citizens would do well to increase their understanding of, the occupied West Bank in Palestine would seem to be at or near the top of the list.
DEARBORN — The Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights hosted an interfaith iftar on Friday, August 20 at 8:30 p.m. with the theme of uniting against the hate speech and Islamophobia seen in America in recent weeks due in large part to the proposed mosque and community center near "Ground Zero" in New York City
DEARBORN — The Dearborn Police Department is looking for individuals who have stolen political paraphernalia. During one incident the suspects were caught on video. Police say the suspects are stealing political signs that oppose their points of view. According to reports the individuals could be convicted of larceny and may face up to a $2,000 fine and one year in jail. Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said the Dearborn Police Department takes all crimes seriously and will not tolerate incidents of petty larceny to further a person's political agenda. DEARBORN — A protest in accordance with the internationally recognized Al Quds Day will be held at Dearborn City Hall on Friday, September 3 at 2:30 p.m. The event is organized by the Jerusalem (Al Quds) Committee.
