ACC chairman elected head of Republican committee

Munfakh
The Executive Committee of  the 11th District Republican Committee elected  former Plymouth Township Trustee Abe Munfakh as its Chairman on July 29.


The committee is elected by Republicans of the 11th District of Michigan, which covers communities in Western Wayne and North Oakland Counties.  The District is represented in US Congress by  Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R, Livonia.


Munfakh, who is Chairman the Board of Directors of the Arab American and Chaldean Council, will be guiding the efforts of the committee as they approach the 2008 election, coordinating between the District Committee, the Michigan Republican Party and the campaigns of candidates for various offices, especially that of presidential candidate John McCain in Michigan.


Munfakh also was elected as an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention, scheduled to take place in Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota, Sept. 1-4.
