Monday, 03.12.2012, 07:37pm

DEARBORN – The search is on for a bone marrow transplant for 29-year-old Hanya Alwerfalli, who has been diagnosed with acute Leukemia. Alwerfalli has fought cancer three separate times, but a transplant is still needed as soon as possible to help save her life.

A bone marrow drive will be held in honor of Alwerfalli on Sunday, March 25, hosted by her husband, family and friends for both her and for other patients to receive the help they need.

The event will be held at Greenfield Manor, 4770 Greenfield in Dearborn, from noon to 8 p.m. For more info, contact  Hebah Alwerfalli at 313.718.0032 or Lola Elzein at 313.995.0298. In addition to the search for a donor, funds will be raised for the cause. A fundraising page with info on the cause and the donor search can also be found at http://tinyurl.com/savehanay
