Fakih pleads no contest in drunken driving case
Thursday, 04.12.2012, 12:54am
HIGHLAND PARK – Former Miss USA Rima Fakih reached a plea deal in her drunken driving case on Wedensday in court.

Fakih, of Dearborn, pleaded no contest to a charge of impaired driving and now will be sentenced on May 9. According to local reports, probation is likely to be handed down and she will most likely be able to serve it from Los Angeles, where she is currently pursuing various entertainment-related projects including one with the WWE.

She has said she wasn't drinking on the night of her arrest in December but police tests showed her blood-alcohol level at more than twice the legal limit.

Fakih told WDIV-Channel 4 outside the courtroom, “You pay your price for your mistakes and move on...I feel like it was fair on both ends and now I'm just going to move on and make sure that I learn from my lessons."
