Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water to visit metro Detroit

DETROIT- The Minister of Energy and Water of Lebanon Mr. Gebran Bassil will arrive in Detroit on Thursday, September 27, 2012 on a two-day private visit. The Lebanese American organizations in Michigan will be hosting a dinner reception by invitation only, in his honor on Thursday night at Byblos Banquet Hall. 

He will also address the American Middle East Christians Congress (AMMEC) on Friday evening at St. Sharbel Banquet Hall in Warren. On Saturday, 

Mr. Bassil will meet with members of the Patriotic Movement (Tayyer) Michigan chapter and later Saturday at noon will be attending a lunch reception in his honor at Mr. Gabriel Issa’s house in Bloomfield Hills before he heads to Cleveland to meet Lebanese Americans there.

On Friday, he will also meet with members of a Michigan Congressional delegation and with local media.
