Dearborn Public Library provides legal, business resources
Friday, 03.21.2008, 04:14pm

DEARBORN — Dearborn Public Library now makes finding legal and small business information fast and easy.   Thanks to Gale LegalForms and Small Business Resource Center, Dearborn Public Library patrons have access to two databases of information containing such documents as wills, power of attorney forms and sample business plans.

"Gale LegalForms will help empower the citizens of Dearborn, and will allow them to take greater control over their legal affairs," said James Knapp, Head of Adult Services.   "People need access to a cost-effective, authoritative means for understanding the paperwork of common legal procedures.  In addition, Small Business Resource Center is packed full of information for the person interested in starting and operating a small business including accounting, financial, marketing, and management information."

Powered by the U.S. Legal Forms electronic database, Gale LegalForms makes downloadable, printable forms available for library patrons, customized to comply with each state's laws. Small Business Resource Center features a wealth of resources from popular business book series and a number of business journals, both specialty and general types.    Most impressive, perhaps, is that the database contains hundreds of sample business plans created by real-life entrepreneurs.

Just as importantly, the Dearborn Public Library now serves as a convenient place to offer these services to the community.  To make it even more convenient, these databases are also available to Dearborn Library cardholders 24/7 from any computer with an Internet connection.  Patrons must have a valid Dearborn library card plus their pin and then they can log in to the databases from the library's website at http://dearbornlibrary.org.

For more information on GaleLegal Forms, Small Business Resource Center or other database resources at your Dearborn Public Library call 313.943.2330 or visit http://dearbornlibrary.org.
