Trenton resident announces campaign to compete in 12th Congressional District race

Trenton resident Cynthia Kallgren has announced her campaign to compete in the 12th Congressional District which represents Downriver, Dearborn, and the area westward including Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor. She's competing against Karen Jacobson in the statewide primary election on August 7. The winner will then run up against Democratic Congressman John Dingell in the November general election. Kallgren is a business owner, and has lived in metro-Detroit her whole life. She's in her early fifties and graduated from Eastern Michigan University.
