Several candidates endorsed by TAAN and AAPAC victorious in statewide primary races

A number of candidates who were endorsed by The Arab American News (TAAN) and the Arab American Political Action Committee (AAPAC) were successful in Tuesday’s statewide primary elections  and will now move on to the general election in November. Below are election results for the races. 

TAAN endorsed every candidate who received endorsements from the AAPAC in addition to Congressman Hansen Clarke (D MI-13th) for the 14 Congressional District; Congressman John Dingell (D MI-15th) for the 12th Congressional District; Congressman John Conyers (D MI-14th)  for the 13th Congressional District; Wayne County Treasurer Raymond Wojtowicz for Wayne County Treasurer and State Representative Rashida Tlaib who’s running for re-election. AAPAC endorsed Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon who's also running for re-election; Attorney Sam Salamey for Dearborn 19th District Court judge; Dearborn School Board Member Hussein Berry for 9th House District state representative; David Knezek for 11th House District state representative; Attorney Adel Harb for Wayne County Circuit Court Judge; Rose Mary Robinson for 4th House District state representative; Attorney Jane Ellen Gillis for Wayne County Circuit Court judge; Attorney Wanda Evans for 36th District Court judge; State Representative Bob Constan for Wayne County Commission District 8; Sherry J. Gay-Dagnogo for 8th House District state representative; Sabrina Johnson for 22nd District Court judge and State Representative Phil Cavanagh of Michigan's 10th House District who's running for his second term.
