American Heart Association and Oakwood Healthcare System team up for National Walking Day

In an effort to increase physical activity among Americans, the American Heart Association and Oakwood Healthcare are teaming up for National Walking Day. The event takes place at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center, located at 18101 Oakwood Boulevard in Dearborn on April 4.  Oakwood’s four hospital sites will simultaneously kick-off a rally and walk at 11:30 a.m. to honor the Association’s iconic day. The American Heart Association is encouraging the public to lace up their sneakers and incorporate walking into their day for 30 minutes on National Walking Day.
