Man and woman use baby to rob Dearborn home
Thursday, 01.26.2012, 01:37am
DEARBORN —  A 95-year-old Dearborn resident was the victim of a home robbery after a man and woman with a baby arrived at her home. The thieves used the baby to distract the senior while robbing the home. The victim, Catherine Morton said she went to get the door because she thought it was her electrician outside. After entering the home the woman placed the baby on Morton’s lap. While the baby distracted Morton the man went into a bedroom and stole cash, house keys, a 90-year-old rosary and tax forms. Then the man came back to the living room and left with the woman and baby. The locks to Morton’s home have been changed, but she wasn’t able to identify the suspects to Dearborn Police because of her poor vision.
