Hearing delayed for four suspects in death of local man

DEARBORN — On Friday August 3rd,  the four suspects attained for the murder of Dearborn resident Hassan Jaber appeared at the 19th District Court in front of a packed courtroom. The four suspects, Charles Jackson, 26, Zelda Taylor, 28, Iashia Knox, 28, and Kristen Holmes, 28, are facing charges of felony murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

DEARBORN — After an intensive investigation, four arrests have been made in connection with the July 15th homicide of 45 year-old Hassan Jaber of Dearborn, who was found dead in his home after a concerned neighbor went to go check on him. While the arrests have brought some relief to the family, there are still questions that need to be answered.

DEARBORN — On Sunday evening, Hassan Jaber, a 45-year-old construction worker, was found dead in his east Dearborn home on the block of 6200 Williamson Street after a concerned neighbor went to go check on him when the victim didn't show up to finish a construction job.

DEARBORN — Fadi Hassan Faraj, the 35-year-old Dearborn resident who fatally shot Hassan Zeidan, 23, at a pick up basket ball game last July, has finally been sentenced to serve 23-45 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder on June 18 at the Wayne County Circuit Court.
Dearborn businesses caught selling tobacco to minors

DEARBORN — Dearborn Police have issued citations to four local businesses in the city that were caught selling tobacco to minors during a compliance check on Tuesday. The tests were conducted by the Dearborn Police Explorers, which include minors who disguise themselves as adults in order to see if the businesses would I.D them and sell them any tobacco products.
