"Fordson" wins over audience, takes Best Documentary Award at Detroit-Windsor Film Festival

DETROIT  — The 2010 debut of the trailer for the movie documentary "Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football," generated a huge amount of buzz among local Arab Americans and Muslims as well as many others eager to see a real-life portrayal of the community on the big screen.

DEARBORN — The film ‘Day of the Falcon’ is set to premiere at the AMC Fairlane Theater here on Mar. 1. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto, Mark Strong and Tahar Rahim and is directed by award-winning director Jean-Jacques Annaud. Day of the Falcon is an epic adventure film with global appeal that offers a positive portrayal of the Arab culture, landscape and Islam.
